Why Molded Pallet Lines Need Sawdust Dryer Moisture Control

Sawdust dryer for molded wood pallet production lines: stabilize raw-material moisture before MDI or UF glue bonding, with continuous drying from 0.8 to 2 t/h and a standard outlet target below 10%.

Why Outdoor Drying Leaves Moisture Uncontrolled

Natural sun drying and manual open-air drying depend on weather, yard space, drying time, and operator judgment. During monsoon periods, material can reabsorb moisture before pressing. A small airflow dryer or sawdust flash dryer may suit fine, lower-moisture material in a different capacity range, but it is not automatically the right choice for mixed wood waste or a continuous molded pallet production line. Unstable moisture can weaken MDI or UF glue bonding, create uneven pallet strength, increase molding rejects, and make load specifications harder to control.

How the DRYR Sawdust Dryer Fits the Line

DRYR is a rotary sawdust dryer built for continuous biomass material pre-treatment. Hot air from the furnace enters the rotary drum while the drum turns and advances the feed. Four configurations cover approximately 0.8 to 2 t/h: H-1010 at 0.8 to 1 t/h, H-1212 at 1 to 1.2 t/h, H-1512 at 1.2 to 1.5 t/h, and H-1815 at 1.5 to 2 t/h. The standard drying target is below 10%. Where the molded pallet process requires below 7%, the final setting should be confirmed against the material, glue system, and press process.

Structural Evidence and the Final Production Result

The internal lifting-flight arrangement uses staggered metal paddle bars to lift and scatter the material, allowing hot air to pass through the material curtain and contact more surface area. Temperature sensing, drum rotation, vibration, and sealing design help reduce local under-drying and support batch-to-batch stability. The system arrangement combines the drum, process ducting, cyclone separation, blower, support frames, and control cabinet. A sawdust dryer with cyclone dust collector or baghouse filter can be evaluated according to the project. The self-insulation design is listed with thermal efficiency above 80%, while the selected heat source may use coal, oil, natural gas, or biomass fuel subject to local requirements. The result is a more consistent feed condition for molding, more stable glue bonding, and fewer moisture-related rejects.
