Load surface flatness depends on how well a stack of boards was aligned that morning. A repair yard downstream prices that in labour, and an export buyer prices it in claims. Heat-treated wood is also a moisture sponge in transit, which is where the mould and re-inspection conversations start. None of that is a machine problem the plant can fix by hiring faster nailers, because the constraint is the treatment step and the number of units that can be marked, not the bench speed.
Why a molded pallet hydraulic press machine sits inside the exemption already in place
An integrally moulded pallet lands in the processed wood exemption category, which is the same category an existing exemption file is already written around. The mechanism is the process itself rather than a chemical dosing step: the mat goes into the die and is formed under high pressure at hot press molding temperature, and that combination is what removes the pest and pathogen concern that the fumigation route exists to address. On the binder side, an MDI adhesive system is used with no added formaldehyde, so the pallet does not carry the volatile chemistry a shipper inspecting a food or pharmaceutical load is trying to avoid. Formed density in the region of 900 kg per cubic metre gives a stiff, one-piece shape with no nailing stage and no loose fasteners at the handling interface, and a low formed moisture content keeps the pallet out of the mould window that wet sawn wood falls into during a long humid container dwell. Practically, this is why a new line can be folded into the language the plant already uses with its customers: an integrally moulded pallet, a hot pressed hygienic surface, a no-added-formaldehyde binder, a fumigation-free and mark-free delivery. The supplier side matters here too, because a new machine that cannot be documented becomes a new approval cycle. Parameter sheets, the raw material path, the binder system and the basis for the exemption claim can be issued with the equipment, which is what shortens the customer audit that has to happen before the first container ships.
What the machine has to be, and what it produces at the other end
The platform is a three-beam four-column hydraulic press, built as a top beam, a slide and a worktable carried on four solid columns, so the load path is short and the platen stays parallel under tonnage.
