Who runs this duty cycle: humid agricultural storage and heavy industrial loads

Agricultural cold storage and heavy industrial plants lose pallets to water and joints, not to the first lift. A presswood pallet machine presses recovered wood fiber with MDI resin into a one-piece, nail-free pallet at 150 to 180 C and 15 to 20 MPa, density 0.8 to 1.2 g/cm3, so a humid store and a heavy duty route stop paying twice for repair and scrap. The trade-off is real and we state it up front: MDI costs more than UF or PF and tends to stick in the mold, which is why the line includes automatic release-agent spraying as standard.

Why wooden stringer pallet equipment and the traditional pallet nailing machine keep losing money

A nailed pallet is an assembly of separate parts held by friction and steel. Solid wood takes up moisture, deckboards swell and shrink, and every heavy impact works the fastener. Under repeated heavy load the nails loosen, then ride up, and the board edge spalls where the load lands. Each cycle resets the clock: re-nail, replace boards, downgrade, scrap. In a wet store, the repair bench and the disposal line become fixed costs that never appear in the pallet quotation. Buying a heavier heavy duty hardwood pallet maker, or restarting the same design on a used pallet press machine, changes the species and the price, not the joint. The failure mode is built into the nailed assembly itself, which is why a traditional pallet nailing machine keeps producing the same repair queue on a wet, heavy duty site.

Why a one-piece molded pallet with MDI resin fits wet and heavy duty cycles

Our line is an automated pallet manufacturing line built around a hydraulic pallet press manufacturer platform: recovered wood fiber and agricultural residue are crushed, dried, dosed with MDI resin, spread by weight, and hot pressed into a single body. MDI is formaldehyde-free and water resistant, so the bond does not depend on dry conditions. Because the pallet is pressed as one piece, there is no nail to loosen, no joint to open and no board edge to chip; density runs 0.8 to 1.2 g/cm3. The pressing window is 150 to 180 C at 15 to 20 MPa with a cycle of roughly 180 to 240 seconds on a 1600T class press, which is where a sawdust pallet making machine becomes a structural press rather than a forming tool. The honest cost line belongs here too. MDI is more expensive per kilogram than UF or PF, and it is more prone to sticking in the mold, so the line is equipped with automatic release-agent spraying as standard. We do not hide that. What you buy with it is a one-piece pallet press solution whose water resistance and edge integrity hold up where a nailed pallet and a nailed configuration both give way.

What the images show, and what the plant gets at the end of the chain

The first image follows the material path: agricultural residue and recovered fiber entering a wood waste recycling machine route and leaving as a molded, MDI bonded pallet, with the automatic robotic demolding grabber taking the cured pallet out of the press. That grabber is also what keeps the automated pallet manufacturing line running through heat and dust without a hand at the mold. The second image is the open steel mold cavity holding a freshly pressed pallet, with the load-bearing reinforcement ribs and the four-way entry recesses formed into the pallet body. That is the structural difference a nailed pallet cannot offer, because there the load path runs through fasteners and board edges rather than through one pressed section. What the plant gets at the end: a compressed wood pallet machine output that is treated as a processed wood product, so a fumigation-free pallet machine position and ISPM-15 exempt pallet equipment status sit on the same channel you already ship on; nestable pallet manufacturing for space and return freight; and a wood waste to pallet conversion loop where retired pallets are crushed and re-pressed instead of landfilled, which is what makes eco-friendly pallet production a physical route rather than a claim. Added up, that is the high ROI pallet production setup in this segment: no nail stock, no repair bench, no downgrade chain, and a scrap stream that is a re-feed rather than a tipping fee.

  • One-piece molded pallet bonded with MDI resin, nail free, with no joint or board edge to chip in wet heavy duty service
  • Pressing window 150 to 180 C at 15 to 20 MPa on a 1600T class press, density 0.8 to 1.2 g/cm3
  • MDI cost and mold sticking disclosed openly; the line includes automatic release-agent spraying as standard
  • Retired pallets are crushed and re-pressed, so the end of life route is a re-feed rather than landfill
