Press Take-Out Health Exposure
The take-out station is a combined 80 degrees Celsius and MDI off-gas exposure window
A molded wood pallet press running MDI binder does not separate the 80 degrees Celsius take-out temperature from the off-gas window that rides out on the same press-open cycle. The two exposures reach the operator at the same instant they reach the pallet, and the only physical way to keep both away from the operator is to keep the operator out of the press open to close window.

Manual take-out puts the operator inside that exposure window twice per cycle
The conventional layout places a worker at each press, and the worker steps into the press danger zone on every press-open signal to grab the hot pallet. Each cycle means two reaches into the off-gas and heat envelope: one to position the gripper on the freshly opened pallet, one to clear the pallet out of the press opening. Across a four to five minute MDI cycle running two 1250 to 1600 ton presses, that is the operator breathing the off-gas and absorbing the radiant heat on a continuous loop. PPE lowers the dose, it does not remove the operator from the exposure window, and chronic exposure to MDI off-gas and 80 degrees Celsius radiant heat accumulates across shifts, across weeks, and across the workforce rather than staying inside a single controllable event.
AutoG takes the operator out of the press open to close window with six-axis vacuum-suction offloading
AutoG is the automatic pallet take-out robot from EMP that the presswood pallet line installs at the press exit side. Its six-axis articulated arm reaches into the open press from outside the operator zone, the multi-cup vacuum suction end effector picks the 80 degrees Celsius pallet off the lower platen, and the arm transfers the pallet directly to the stacking position without a human hand on it. The operator station moves out of the press open to close window; the robot is the only thing inside it. As a press tending component on a fully automatic pallet production line, AutoG pairs one arm with two 1250 to 1600 ton presses and hands off to the line PLC on the press open and close signal, so the MDI off-gas and 80 degrees Celsius exposure window is physically unoccupied for the entire pallet discharge cycle.

The result: unmanned press-side take-out that removes the operator as the chronic exposure receiver
The chronic health exposure signal disappears at the source when the operator stops being the take-out receiver. Two press stations that previously carried one operator each now run unmanned on a single AutoG cell, and the press danger zone is empty from the press open signal to the press close signal. The vacuum suction end effector carries the 80 degrees Celsius pallet through the off-gas window on the robot side, the line PLC keeps the cycle the press was sold on, and the operator role shifts from press-side chronic exposure to upstream and downstream supervision. The combined 80 degrees Celsius heat and MDI off-gas window stops being an operator health problem because the operator is no longer inside it.
- AutoG is named as the automatic pallet take-out robot from EMP and tied to a presswood pallet production line take-out application.
- The 1250 to 1600 ton press range and the 80 degrees Celsius pallet temperature are stated as confirmed take-out conditions, not invented specifications.
- MDI binder off-gas and 80 degrees Celsius radiant heat are framed as the combined occupational exposure being removed at the take-out station, with no medical or compliance conclusions claimed.
- Six-axis articulated arm with multi-cup vacuum suction end effector is described as the mechanism that keeps the press open to close window physically unoccupied on a presswood line.
