Molded Pallet Hydraulic Press Machine: A Wood-Waste Second Feed Lane Before Sunflower Husk Prices Move Again

Feedstock Risk and a Second Feed Lane

One Husk, One Harvest Window, One Cost Model

A molded pallet plant built on one agricultural residue carries one cost model. Where sunflower husk supplies the fibre, harvest lands in a narrow September to November window, plants stock three to four months to bridge it, and the same husk is now bid for by biomass fuel and pellet producers, so the price the pallet line pays is set outside the pallet line. Ukrainian market reports put husk at 2,600 to 3,200 UAH per tonne in February 2026 and 2,900 to 3,400 UAH per tonne in early March, source voez.com.ua. This page follows the fix on a molded pallet hydraulic press machine: the EMP line already runs crushing to about 5 mm, drying to 8 to 12 percent moisture, MDI glue mixing and hot press molding at 150 to 180 C on a Y32 three-beam four-column frame from Y-1250 to Y-2500, so a wood waste second feed lane is a line configuration rather than a second factory.

The Press Was Never the Constraint, the Intake Was

A molded pallet hydraulic press machine does not care which fibre arrives, provided the fibre arrives correctly prepared. The EMP standard process is wood based and runs in four stages ahead of the press: waste wood and sawdust crushed to about 5 mm, dried to 8 to 12 percent moisture, mixed with MDI adhesive, then hot press molded at 150 to 180 C. Those four stages are part of the line scope, not accessories bolted on afterwards, which is why the answer to husk seasonality is a second feed lane and not a new plant. Recovered pallets, sawmill residue, block offcuts and repair rejects enter the same crusher, dryer and glue mixer the husk lane already uses, and switch or blend at the mixer. The press platform stays the same: Y32 three-beam four-column frame with solid columns, tonnage tiers from Y-1250 up to Y-2500, platens up to 2500 x 1700 mm, single station or double station layout, one-press forming of a finished pallet per cycle with a short molding cycle and top eject. Tonnage, platen, mold and station count are confirmed per project against the pallet spec the plant actually sells.

Structure and Image Evidence Behind the Second Lane

The first image is the shop floor the argument rests on: several presses standing in line along the bays, yellow-black safety guards at every station, an independent control cabinet per machine and operators moving stacked parts and tote boxes between stations. That is what a line that can carry two intake recipes looks like, because the constraint sits upstream in the crusher, dryer and mixer, while the presses keep cycling. The second image closes in on one station: four-column frame under a guarded slide, the mold table below it, a worker forming a fibre pallet on the tooling and finished units standing in the foreground. That is compression molding in one pass on a steel mold, which is why length, width and deck plane come from tooling rather than from a repair bench, and why the finished unit leaves nail free with no splinters. The boundary is stated plainly: direct adaptation of a proprietary sunflower husk or straw recipe onto an EMP line is a trial question, not a catalogue claim. We commit to a mature waste wood process and to a hot press stage that runs on the same moulding principle, and any blend ratio between husk and wood fibre is set by joint trial data from your own material, not by an assumption.

What the Second Lane Buys in a Tight Husk Season

The result is a raw material position instead of a raw material bet. In the weeks when husk tightens or a fuel buyer lifts the local price, the plant switches the intake to wood waste or blends the two and keeps the press cycling, so the pallet cost model stops tracking one harvest. Wood waste is the more dispersed supply of the two: used pallets, sawmill residue, offcuts and repair rejects come from hundreds of points, year round, and their price is duller than a residue that doubles as boiler fuel. The parameters behind that lane are not laboratory numbers, because our own factory runs waste wood continuously and the moisture window, MDI ratio and pressing curve are taken from production. On the output side the pallet stays the product the buyers already take: nestable empty pallets that cut return volume, a lightweight pallet that lowers empty-leg freight, a reusable molded pallet, and a fumigation-free export pallet that ships in the processed wood material category instead of carrying an ISPM-15 heat treatment file, with destination acceptance still a buyer and plant protection question. If husk is your only lane today, send your current pallet spec and your fibre samples and we will scope the second lane against the tonnage you already run.
