The press-side safety problem in molded pallet production

Press tending robotAutomatic pallet removal machine for molded wood pallet manufacturing: AutoG removes hot pallets from the press, transfers them to the stacking position, and keeps operators away from the high temperature and resin gas exposure zone.

Why manual take-out limits the old process

The conventional setup assigns people to each press for manual take-out, secondary transfer, and stacking. With two presses, that can mean about two take-out workers, while the line still depends on human availability and tolerance for a hot, exposed work position. Waiting for pallets to cool can add delay; taking them out immediately increases the need for suitable handling equipment. This makes the presswood pallet production line harder to run continuously and harder to staff consistently.

Why AutoG fits the press tending task

AutoG is designed as the automatic pallet take-out robot at the discharge end of an EMP molded wood pallet line. After the press opens, its six-axis articulated robot arm enters the mold area, uses a vacuum suction gripper to pick up the finished pallet, and moves it to the stacking position. One arm can serve two molded pallet hydraulic presses in an alternating sequence: it waits while one press is pressing, unloads after completion, and then switches to the other press. The fit is therefore not a generic robot claim; it is a press tending and robotic offloading function matched to the line cycle.

Evidence, integration, and the production result

The AutoG structure is visible in the product image: a long articulated arm, suction cups, cable management chain, and stack light. The factory image shows the robot working beside a hydraulic hot press line with stacked panels, supporting the physical relationship between press, transfer arm, and output handling. Confirmed application information covers 1250–1600 ton press ranges as a source-described reference, approximately 80°C pallet handling, and a 4–5 minute pressing cycle with MDI glue. Final load, reach, vacuum, control, and installation details should be confirmed in the project specification. In operation, automatic take-out and stacking move the operator away from the high temperature gas exposure zone, creating a direct safety and health benefit while supporting a semi-auto to full-auto line upgrade.
